Elmbridge estate agent, Grosvenor, has celebrated 20 years of being in business by giving away over 500 birthday ice creams and ice lollies to members of the community across Cobham, Claygate and Hinchley Wood.
Calling on the services of fellow Elmbridge business, Mantio Ice Cream – a Weybridge-based eco-friendly ice cream van powered by electricity – Grosvenor handed out over 250 ice creams and ice lollies to passersby on Cobham High Street on Thursday 19 May. A further 250 were handed out to those walking along Claygate Parade and past the Hinchley Wood office on Friday 20 May.
The Surrey estate agent was founded in 2002 by Cobham resident Ian Davies, who, after building the business over 18 years, retired in 2020. Ian’s son, Gareth Davies, took over as Managing Director with Ian’s daughter, Claire Fuller, being appointed to the role of Finance Director.
Longstanding Grosvenor directors Chris Burton and Roly Matthews continue to run the Claygate and Hinchley wood offices.
On celebrating its 20th anniversary, Gareth comments: “Given how just under 40 per cent of business founded in 2015 were still running in 2020, I’m incredibly proud that we’re still going strong after two decades. Whilst Grosvenor specialises in selling and letting properties, our business is all about people. And, having worked with thousands of members of the Elmbridge community over the last 20 years, I can honestly say that we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. As we’re coming into summer, a celebratory ice cream felt like a fitting way in which to say ‘thank you’ to all of our clients, past and present.”
